Curatorial Note
Florencia Aise paints the beauty of small things. In a meticulous, faithful hyperrealism — portraits, still lifes and world-collages — her brush questions the very identity of the model, until a surface stops being paint and becomes presence.
Born in Mendoza, Argentina (1983) and trained as an industrial designer, Aise is a self-taught painter counted among the youngest and most representative voices of Latin-American hyperrealism. Her work has been shown in Rome, New York and Miami’s Art Basel Week.

About
Florencia Aise (b. Mendoza, Argentina, 1983) trained as an industrial designer before turning to painting full time. Working primarily in oil and mixed-media collage, she is recognised among the most representative hyperrealist voices of her generation in Latin America.
Her practice moves between the intimate portrait, the still life and large-format collage — always returning to a single question: how a surface can hold a life.
